Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York has recently upgraded its Neurosurgical department. The staff include 5 Neurosurgeons, 2 physician assistants, Neurology, Neuro-radiology and Anesthesia support. The operating room facilities include state of the art equipment such as the Stealth Navigation system for Brain and Spine surgery and Stereotactic surgery.This enables very accurate localisation of tumors and other pathology making micro-surgery safer, quicker and permits the use of small incisions. Fusion of MR and CT images allow intra-operative navigation within the brain and spine.
Saint Vincent's hospital and Medical Center-New York,is a tertiary level Neurosurgery facility with a 6 bed Neuro ICU and a dedicated floor for Neurosurgery patients. The hospital has state of the art OR facilities for Neurosurgery including image guided brain surgery. Advanced endo-vascular interventional radiology is available for treatment of aneurysms and other pathology.
